II.9 Synopsis

Pages 700-20; Sunday, 25 December 1949-early 1950

The next day, Christmas morning, a deranged Reverend Gwyon treats his congregation to a Mithraic ceremony. He is sent to an asylum, where he is apparently crucified by a fellow patient named Farisy. "Dick," the reverend's young replacement, sends his ashes to the Real Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de la Otra Vez.
